MY JOB!

I am presently in a hotel room on a sunday wondering how to pass the time, my job involves a lot of travelling www.ajalatravels.blogspot.com and of course one tends to stay in hotel rooms along the way. I had a hard time last year falling asleep whenever I slept in any bed but my own and thankfully I overcame this or else I would be an incurable insomniac! I like my job sometimes same as everybody else but I can't help but miss the hospital. I certainly don't miss the ever constant smell of blood when accident victims or victims of assault where brought in, but I miss the constant interchange between a doctor and his patient, the detective work done while trying to eliminate diseases from the differential diagnosis list and finally coming up with a diagnosis. I guess I also miss the security of being called doctor and not having to explain to people why a doctor is travelling all over naija. Of course I miss having a stage to draw my inspiration for blog posts from. I can tell

Death II.

I have had a hard time writing this second part to this post and thats because I do not have a lot of experience on the subject matter if I did I wont be writing this. It takes a lot to be able to laugh looking death in the face, only weird people can do that and they are considered weird by the likes of us who have not yet come face to face with our own mortality. This is something you do when you become much older. You don't hear of teenagers planning things like what they would like to be remembered for after they die for this is the age where dreams about that unending future are made, why should I think of death when I have the whole world yet to conquer before me? As we age death becomes more of a reality and thats why older people don't spend a lot of time on dreams about where they want to be fifty years down the line as they realise they may not even have another ten years left. So what exactly am I going to write about today! Its something I have thought of before but

25 RANDOM THINGS.....

Image
Facebook profiles and blogs are awash with the topic above and I'm interested in actually putting down what I think are things many people don't know about me, I may not reach the number 25 but here goes... 1. I do not like eggs, milk or quaker oats. I remember pouring my portion of oats into my sister's bowl when we were younger and receiving my mother's praise until she realised my sister's bowl was a double portion of what she had dished earlier:) 2. I do not like to dress up, yes i know many people know this already, If i could I would go in a top and skirt or jeans everywhere yes including weddings, no makeup, high heels I'm just learning to wear them... 3. I'd rather spend my time reading a good book than plunked down in front of a TV screen. 4. I'd rather stay indoors than go out for an occasion. 5. I'm one shy person in new company,I'd rather sit with my head buried in a book than start conversation, I only open up when I see familiar fac

The Never ending Road!

Hi guys I have spent the last few days globe trotting actually Naija trotting and like I wrote somewhere ( I have forgotten where) not much inspiration comes from sitting in the front of a 4 by 4 looking at landscape that contains some trees, many cows and very foolish goats who have almost caused us to have accidents. I tell you those goats and more especially the sheep are very foolish. Today as we were coming along at the beautiful speed of 80km/hr (max limit 100km/hr a la company policy) some foolish sheep were right in the middle of the road. They reminded me of the Nigerian Police only that their uniform was white. Horns blaring they made a half hearted attempt to move off the road, can you imagine we had to swerve to avoid hitting the idiots. Like the driver said if we hit a goat we would pay heavily for it and the compensation would include the cost of future children the goat would bear but if the goat had caused an accident that cost us our lives, no one would pay for our liv
