My friend who loves ice cream also loves to sample foreign fare! We have eaten together several times as Im not one to pass up the offer of great food. Today we visited Baraka Cafe which is a North African restaurant (the owner is from Tunisia) in Cambridge and we had a great meal! Not only was it nice it was inexpensive (isnt that a fabulous combination?) I told the owner I was learning arabic and she was delighted, she gave my friend and I a free lesson on the many ways to say Thank you in Arabic! Its a great place if you are looking for somewhere to have a great meal without cutting your pockets! My Dunlop rating:) 4 Stars! http://www.barakacafe.com/history.html Outside the restaurant! Inside Baraka! I love the decor! Salt and Pepper shakers! Menu! Seats! First Meal! Entree 1- Merguez (lamb and beef North African Sausage seasoned with ras-el-hanout Entree 2- Djadje (grilled chicken breast marinated with North African Spices) Dessert! We did not have any, we were fully fed up:))

166-170 Plodding the unknown path with a known God Packing,Pruning and Squeezing:) Parents who care so much, even when you are no longer a child you always remain their child. Peals of laughter and delight from my niece and her mom excited to speak to me. Periods. The end of a season and the beginning of another.

Life is short.......

Im not sure why im writing this note. I have a million and one things to do and yet I am drawn to write, to turn my tumbling thoughts into a legible type written script. I am not sure Ill make sense but Ill give it a try. I looked up someones profile page today and her status update made my heart skip a beat, It was the notice of someones death. The name written was only too familiar. I have since confirmed that my hunch was right. I knew who it was. For one minute I thought of the foolish decisions I made the day before and how in the light of death I would not make them again. They were not mistakes, I knowingly made those decisions and for a few hours I was happy with the choice I made. Looking at the words 'O death where is thy sting, O grave where is thy victory' produced a chill that ran down my spine. I had made the decisions thinking I was immortal, in the light of the new obituary I realised I had been very foolish. My status update on facebook a few weeks ago culled f

Moving on!

I have a friend who uses my blog to check up on what is going on in my life so this update is for her:) I guess its been sometime since I updated my blog with respect to personal matters and it is not because I have been wanting for things to do! I watched an episode of House M.D which by the way used to be one of my favorite 'season shows' especially since it was the only season show I watch. I just discovered 'sea patrol' and its heightened my love for all things nautical, you could say I have been smitten:) Back to the point there was an episode on House M.D which featured a woman who blogged about every single detail and I mean every single detail of her life. It almost drove her husband nuts, you can imagine having your private arguments on display for the whole world to see. I think that particular episode put a damper on my sharing things in my little world. But what else do you write about? I cannot possibly write about what is happening in someone elses life si
