Randomness
So much of life, it seems to me, is made up of pure randomness- Sidney Poiter.
• Someone asks me where I am from and I answer? The person then launches into a story of how three persons who visited a developing country where raped and beaten. Note, this was not my country, and even if it was, what am I supposed to say to that. My answer- Silence. Call it shocked silence, I could not even begin to fathom a response to the unnecessary tirade.
• Are jobs not just available or are the years of experience a ploy to ensure that no one gets any job. Why then would you advertise a post and ask for someone who has 15years experience in a field that is relatively new? If you keep asking for those years of experience and do not invest in training new hands one day the pool you keep drawing from will be empty. Why do you need to know someone inside a company to even get called for an interview? I am just saying.
• Why do people ask questions and then get upset when the answer they receive is not at all what they want to hear? Why ask a question in the first place. A dissenting view is an answer, if you do not like it, do not ask in the first place!
• Some people are like jiggers; they burrow into your skin and irritate the living day lights out of you. They cannot be ignored, they need to be eradicated. Get a hot needle into those tunnels and sear their tiny little bodies with the heat from the flame and squash them. No jigger, No irritation.
• Things never look as bad as they seem when you have had time to go over the details and separate the fact from fiction. Time does heal wounds, it only takes you to rip open the healing scab and cause yourself grief all over again.
• You can decide to be angry, you can decide to be sad, you can decide to be happy, you can decide to be mad. It only takes you to determine your mood. No one else but you has that power, so choose well.
• Is it just me or was it not blissful to be young without a care in this world? Ignorant of strife, feuds, lack and just living life one day at a time.
• There are many more opportunities available. If one door has shut in your face, turn to face the next open door. The closure of one door is not the end of life.
• Skype is such a blessing!
• There is a pearl in every man! You only see what you want to see. If you are searching for pearls and a diamond is in front of you, you will lose it!
• Holidays can be so refreshing.
• Visit places of historical interest.

Randomness is all a part of life.
ReplyDeleteThose "15 years of experience" mentions used to annoy me so much when I was job-hunting. Lol.
People like to hear answers that they want to hear.
I love this, " You can decide to be angry, you can decide to be sad, you can decide to be happy, you can decide to be mad. It only takes you to determine your mood. No one else but you has that power, so choose well."
Seemed like a very random post but did I observe a hint of frustration or sadness....
ReplyDeleteLife can and is random, but the diversity of the events and people, situations & circumstances make for a richer experience of life!
I love 'If you are searching for pearls and a diamond is in front of you, you will lose it!'
